June Vacation Chap 9.2 RATE (L2) A Twist to the Red Riding Hood Adventure

Read the following short story... you will be able to find descriptions related to RATE...

Once upon a time, there was a little girl who lived in a village near the forest. Whenever she went out, the little girl wore a red riding cloak, so everyone in the village called her Little Red Riding Hood.

One morning, Little Red Riding Hood asked her mother if she could go to visit her grandmother as it had been a while since they'd seen each other.

"That's a good idea," her mother said. "We usually visit grandma twice a month. However, because of common tests, you have not visited Grandma this month! She would be upset if she doesn't see you soon!"

Based on what you understand about the term "rate", you will now continue to build the story from where the last person has commented... Everyone will contribute to one part of this Marathon Story. Your part of the story should have at least one description related to to RATE.

" She is living all alone , and she is affected by grandpa's death and now since my tests are over i could see grandma everyday and when school reopens ,i think i should visit her four times per month? Don't u agree mum? " she said. Her mom replied " Ya sure !! "

  2. The next day, Little Red Riding Hood set of for her grandma's house. Her father decided to drive her there. Little Red Riding Hood noticed that her father drove at a constant speed of 70 km/h and they reached her grandma's house very quickly.

  3. Later that day, Little Red Riding Hood decided to walk to her grandma's house. Soon after that she spotted the Big Bad Wolf.So she decided to make a dash to her grandma's house at 20km/h.

  4. But the wolf took a shorter route and could run at 40km/h. It reached Little Red Riding Hood's grandmother house earlier then Little Red Riding Hood.

  5. When the wolf reached Little Red Riding Hood's grandmother's house he tied the grand mother up, tying 2 knots per minute.

  6. Little Red Riding Hood who was still on her way, started to feel worried as she did not see the wolf anywhere. So, she decided to increase her speed and run at 30 km/h.

  7. However, Little Red Riding Hood tripped over a root and badly injured her leg. She then had to limp to her grandmother's house at 2 km/h, with her leg bleeding at a rate of 1 ml/min.

  8. Meanwhile the wolf felt very thirsty while waiting for Little Red Riding Hood to reach grandmother's house. Hence he started drinking 2 cups of juice per minute, ignoring grandmother's cry for help.

  9. Little Red Riding Hood heard her grandmother's cries as she limped towards her house. She entered the house through the back door to avoid rousing the Big Bad Wolf and started to untie the knots on the ropes tying up her grandmother at 3 knots per minute.

  12. Little Red Riding Hood knew a secret about her grandmother, just like a famous cartoon character Popeye the sailor, she would gain miraculous amount of strength if she ate spinach. Therefore she had brought along several cans of spinach for her grandmother. She offered the spinach to her grandmother and asked her to eat up quickly, for Little Red Riding Hood knew the wolf would not be gone for long. Her grandmother wolfed down the cans of spinach at an astounding speed of a can per second.

  13. After Little Red Riding Hood's Grandmother finished gobbling down the cans of spinach, she broke out of the ropes that the Wolf had tied her up in and went after the wolf. When she found the Wolf, she unleashed her Fists of Fury onto the wolf and started punching him at the rate of 6 punches per second.

  14. After that, the wolf was unconscious and the duo decided to butcher him so that he could not hurt anyone else in the future. They killed him and drove to the lake at 20km/h , mourning his death on the way. (Rate in the story? 20km/h)

  15. Little Red Riding Hood and her grandmother drove back to her grandmother's cosy little cabin. On their way back, Little Red Riding Hood caught a glimpse of the speedo-meter and nearly fell out of her chair. "Grandma! You're only supposed to be driving at 50km/h not 120 km/h! You're going to get us killed as well!" She exclaimed, clearly alarmed. :)

  16. After they arrived at the lake, they hauled the wolf down and threw the wolf into the lake. The wolf then sank into the water at 1m/s .

  17. Unknown to them, the lake was infested with crocodiles. The crocodiles begin chomping on the dead wolf's body at 2chomps/s

  18. After the crocodiles devoured the wolf, they turned to Little Red Riding Hood and began to chase her at 10km/h

  20. Grandma ran at 13 km/h, faster than Little Red Riding Hood who was running at 9 km/h. Little Red Riding Hood, not able to outrun the crocodile, took out a crocodile repellent spray and sprayed it all over the killer croc. The duo were then able to escape the threat safe and sound.
    (And so the saying 'my grandma can run faster than you'!)

  21. Red Riding hood was still shaking from her close encounter with the crocodiles. Grandma soothed her, while making their way back home, at 5km/h

  23. After calming down , Little Red Riding Hood walked back home at a very slow and relaxed pace of 2 km/h , enjoying looking at the greenery on her way.
